As part of the On-Farm Climate Action Fund (OFCAF), agrologists residing in Newfoundland and Labrador or Nova Scotia that eligible to become a CCA can take advantage of the OFCAF Certified Crop Advisor exam bursary. Additionally, agrologists and agronomists are able to use the OFCAF Agronomist Training program to head to a conference that aligns with the current BMPs!
Certified Crop Advisor Exam Bursary
The Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) exam registration is now open! You can register from June 20, 2024, to July 15, 2024. The available exam dates will be July 24, 2024, to August 5, 2024.

Current Conference Bursaries
There are two conferences that are being promoted this year and financial support for travel, accommodation and registration.
The Maritime Beef Conference (Moncton, New Brunswick)
The OFCAF program is offering funding to financially support a maximum of $750.00 for NS agrologists and $1500.00 for NL agrologists. The conference funding will be awarded to a total of five people. The date of the conference is November 8 to 9, 2024. Deadline to Apply is October 15, 2024. Please visit the conference website for more information.
The Western Canada Conference on Soil Health and Grazing (Edmonton, Alberta)
The OFCAF program is offering funding to financially support a maximum of $2000.00 for NS agrologists and $2500.00 for NL agrologists. The conference funding will be awarded to a total of five people. The date of the conference is December 10 to 12, 2024. Deadline to Apply is November 15, 2024.
