At lunch there will be opportunity to peruse equipment and resources from local dealers such as Tidal Tractor, the Nova Scotia Federation, and more!

Other New Learning Resouces
As many people may be busy chopping these days, there is new learning resources on our website and YouTube channel for easy access!
Nutrient Amendment Summer Series: This summer we completed a six-part series on nutrient amendments with Gordon Price, Av Singh, and Dave Burton. They go in depth on resource possibilities, amendment processing, how amendments impact mineralization, and the wonderful world of bio stimulants. Here is Video One of that six-part series Introduction to Nutrient Amendments – Session 1 (youtube.com)
Factsheet on Soil Texture: Physical properties such as soil texture can influence many factors such as drainage and buffering capacity, which then determine the fate of certain soil biological and chemical processes. These characteristics can then impact nutrient cycling and critical yield limiting nutrients such as nitrogen. Learn more from Caitlin McCavours new factsheet: Soil-Texture-FactsheetV3.pdf (perennia.ca)
Upcoming workshops: Take a look at our upcoming events and register at Training – OFCAF (perennia.ca). This includes:
- Our Pasture Walks continue with the next one in Mabou, Cape Breton, (September 26)
- Three days of Pasture Walks with Greg Judy in both NS and NL, (October 7, 8, and 12)
- A Pasture Walk in Yarmouth with Evan Kleiner and Kari Brown (October 26)
- Poultry Manure Management Workshop for commercial producers and users of poultry manure (October 24)
